My niece Elora has had some anxiety and depression issues that largely demonstrate themselves as occasionally disconnected and unmotivated. Her boyfriend recently broke up with her and she has been spiraling for the ensuing several weeks. She has been calling the suicide hotline and going to the ER getting no real help. A few days ago she was admitted but they will only keep her for 5 days. She has not been eating or drinking for weeks so she has lost over 30lbs and is so dehydrated they are fearful she has damaged her kidneys. Since she is on suicide watch they cannot give her IV’s; she is not being cooperative around eating or drinking. There is only one scheduled visit a day but those have not been encouraging to the family. She isn’t responding well to therapists, not participating in the community there, and generally dismissive of the need to eat/drink. She is almost 18 years old so her parents are soon to lose the ability to do much in the way of mandating medical help, and he is very strong willed. She has a lot of support around her but the doctors don’t feel like things are going to end well until she decides she wants to get better. She is not in that place and no one has a sense of how to give wind to those forward sails. My devotions + DAB reading has me in a lot of OT, and it has been clear that the more vulnerable, humble and even desperate we are before God the more His grace and mercy shows up. I am praying similar to Jehoshaphat in our recent Chronicles 20 reading when the huge army was coming his way. If you would be so kind, would you ask that God take over the battle for friends and family who have no other way we see if prevailing? Thank you.

July 30, 2024 at 4:47 pmI’m sorry you have to deal with this situation. The best place to be is the presence of Our loving God. Praying for divine and supernatural intervention for her. May the Holy Spirit work through her and restore her. May she feel the presence and power of God Move in her heart. ❤️ Continuing to pray for deliverance from the grip of the enemy 👿of her soul. Be encouraged in Jesus name🙏

Jesus be with them and let them know that YOU are our refuge, YOU are our strength, and it is YOU who walks into the battle before us. We can trust in you and reply on you. God be with this dabbers niece, we lift her up.

Father, I ask for a power washing of the blood of Christ to destroy this idolatry with misplaced control and anger. Father, bring forgiveness and humility and poke these tormenters, that they may torment, no more. Let love reign and the hardness of heart be shattered that the heart of flesh may arise and be saved. Father, let Your good word be preached through Billy Graham Classics or Your chosen vessel along with these prayers of the saints. Your word is the hammer that shatters the rock. Cleanse us, O Lord, and lead us by the Guider and Revealer, Your Holy Spirit. Grant us wisdom, discernment, and revelation as we explore the Spirit of Life-Joy. “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10) May we understand the primary and extension fruits of the Spirit, along with their complementary virtues, for we are created for Your good pleasure. As it is written in Philippians 2:13, “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.” May our purpose and actions be filled with Life-Joy, rooted in the understanding that we align with Your good pleasure and will. Let us rejoice in knowing that it is all for Your glory. Amen 🙏 P.S.
