When someone wrongs you, it can feel almost impossible to let go. The hurt, the anger, the sense of betrayal, these are real valid emotions.

Forgiveness is not about forgetting the pain or pretending it never happened. It’s about releasing the heavy burden you carry, and finding peace and healing about yourself.

July 14, 2024 at 6:57 amAmen dear sisters, fellow dabbers! Thank you for the reminders. Forgiveness is God’s gift to humanity through Christ Jesus. He gives us His gift so that we are no longer children of wrath and set free. Bitterness and vendettas enslave and bring on tormenters on steroids that guarantee an eternal home in pain, unending dread and hell. Basis: Matthew 18:21-35. Many have an attitude of pride so famously quoted by singer, and song writer, Jim Morrison of the Doors, who defiantly declares in “When the Music’s Over (1967).”, “Cancel my subscription to the resurrection, Send my credentials to the house of detention.” Unfortunately, pride, cancel culture and the reality of God’s immutable laws do not bode well for the defiant and entitled. None of us are good but God gives us the option to be good through the canceled debt paid by the only One Who is good, the Man of God, Christ Jesus, Who said, I and the Father are One. Only His credentials will cancel your reservations to the house of detention. God alone. Being stuck in the fleshly “Terrible Two’s” and being pronoun challenged, hyper-self centered and self-aware will earn us a sure-fired ticket to destruction. God is not mocked. Whatever a person sows that will they reap. How can perfection ever come through imperfection? It never can and never will. We all deserve to go to hell but God knew this from the beginning and promised us a Saviour. Christ Jesus is better than any of us could ever be. Only His creds, count and He has freely given them and expects us all to freely pass them along to others for His mercies are unfathomable and swallows up death, whole, and pours out life abundantly and to the full. What are we waiting for? Why hold the anchor that drags your soul into hell. Forgive as He has forgiven you, then can you surely be like God. For as you humble yourself in the sight of the LORD, then he can lift you up. Christ humbled Himself unto death on the cross for us all. Now it is time for us, too, to take up our cross daily and follow Him. We are of the wrong seed, the seed of the first Adam. We must be of the seed of the second Adam. 1 Corinthians 15:45-47. Herein lies the secret to life eternal. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. Father, let us each enter into a covenant relationship with You through Christ Jesus our LORD. Let us let go and let God. Freedom is never free but reigns through the good work of Christ Jesus. Amen.😉🫶
