Though I was raised a Christian and have always believed in God, I’ve never had a relationship with Him. I’ve been going through the motions without the benefits of the relationship… And I’ve been having trouble changing my ways. My controlling nature means I don’t know how to give my life into God’s hands… when I pray I worry that I’m speaking to an empty room… I’ve been reading my Bible and trying to hear God’s words. I am so thankful for the days that I have truly felt the Spirit fill me, for the days in which I can feel God’s love surrounding me, when I can truly give my worries to Him. But those days are not every day. Too many days I just feel so distant from God. I know I’m the one who moved, not Him, but I’m having difficulty bridging the gap. I ask for your prayers that I may be filled with the Spirit, that I may be given the strength and the endurance to run after God with all my heart, that I may be given the clarity to hear His words and stay on His path for me. Come, Holy Spirit, come.
