My Kind Father, We lift up every heart and mind in America. We ask You to show people the humanity of the unborn, so that they may feel the same way about abortion that You do.

Your word in Proverbs 6 states that there are 7 abominations that God hates, number 3 on that list in verse 17 are hands that shed innocent blood. Father help us to be aware of sin crouching at the door for many. Let us practice the fear of the LORD and steer clear of this age old evil of child sacrifice and murder. It is an abomination to You. Abortion is not an appendectomy or the removal of some unneeded part of a woman’s body. That mass created in pregnancy is a unique life and soul, whose very DNA can never be replicated and whose life was granted as a trust from God to the parents that contributed their chromosomal information as a biological covenant to bring forth their unique son or daughter. Life is a trust, not a tryst. CS Lewis writes, “If a thing is free to be good it is also free to be bad. And free will is what has made evil possible. Why, then, did God give them free will? Because free will, though it makes evil possible, is also the only thing that makes possible any love or goodness or joy worth having. A world of automata–of creatures that worked like machines–would hardly be worth creating. The happiness which God designs for His higher creatures is the happiness of being freely, voluntarily united to Him and to each other in an ecstasy of love and delight compared with which the most rapturous love between a man and a woman on this earth is mere milk and water. And for that they must be free.” C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity EVIL is the abuse of free will. It is VILE in God’s sight. Let us not go there in the name of Christ Jesus and by His blood and mercy. Father, may Your word illuminate our souls and mind that keeps us from sinning and that cleanses us from all unrighteousness and abominations. Thank You Father for Your truth that sets us free and keeps us free for Your namesake and goodness. Amen.

My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent. If they say, “Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood; let us ambush the innocent without reason; like Sheol let us swallow them alive, and whole, like those who go down to the pit; we shall find all precious goods, we shall fill our houses with plunder; throw in your lot among us; we will all have one purse”— my son, do not walk in the way with them; hold back your foot from their paths, for their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed blood. For in vain is a net spread in the sight of any bird, but these men lie in wait for their own blood; they set an ambush for their own lives. Such are the ways of everyone who is greedy for unjust gain; it takes away the life of its possessors.” 📓 Loving Father, You are a kind and just God. Let us as a people not be tempted by the enemy to allow this sin of killing the innocent to be a casual thing and personal choice. Sure, we have a free choice but we must choose between life or death. Let us choose life and walk in the blessing of the fear of the LORD rather than allowing God’s scales of justice to be tipped against our own souls for God is never mocked in that whatever we sow is also reaped. Look at the Pandora’s box of bloodshed and anguish that has been poured out onto the house of David to this day for King David’s sin of trying to cover up the pregnancy of Bathsheba, and eventually ending with the resulting murder of Uriah the Hitite. He was an innocent man killed by passions and duplicity of another, King David. Let us chose life and the harder path of righteousness, facing the music with responsibility and steer clear of the temporarily, seemingly easy path that is one fashioned by the enemy tied to the great abyss of pain and death. May the LORD have great mercy on us all as we ponder and consider our choices. We are each before the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, once again. How will we chose? There is no middle ground. Do I choose life or death? I pray that each chooses life and is blessed abundantly with their walk with the LORD. And for those who have taken the wrong path, to turn around (repent). For the LORD is mighty to save and His love is greater than the traps of the enemy tied to death and has swallowed it whole through Christ Jesus’ crucifixion on cross and His resurrection 3-days later. LORD, let Your steadfast love and mercies never cease as we humble ourselves in Your sight that You may lift us up in forgiveness and deliverance. Basis: James 4:10. Amen.
August 20, 2024 at 7:40 am📖 Deuteronomy 11:26-28 ESV “See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way that I am commanding you today, to go after other gods that you have not known.” 📓 Father, we pray for the nation that we represent and ask that our people would choose Your ways and not those of the world. Let us cling to Your will, word and ways for by faith we know this is right, just and holy. Bringing blessing and establishing a lasting covenant with You, the source of all life with no darkness in it. Let us be a blessed people instead of an accursed people walking in respect to You as lovers of God and not lovers of ourselves in Jesus’ precious name this is prayed. Amen.
