August 9, 2024 at 11:41 amYou, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build a house for him. So your servant has found courage to pray to you.” 1 Chronicles 17:25

August 9, 2024 at 11:53 am1 Chronicles 17, God gave David the amazing promise that one of his descendants would always be on the throne. He would have an everlasting dynasty. David could have said, “God, that’s impossible.” Instead, David understood this promise and dared to pray, “God, I’m asking You for something big, not because I have all the talent, education, and connections, but simply because You promised it.”

August 9, 2024 at 11:54 amThe dreams God has placed in your heart may seem impossible. But you have to say, “God, You promised it; now I’m bold enough to ask You for it.” When you do, don’t be surprised if you have doubts. The enemy gets stirred up when you start asking God for big things.

August 9, 2024 at 11:55 amDoubts will bombard your mind when you start praying God-sized prayers and asking Him to take you places that you’ve never been, to touch a family member who has been off course, or to give you the hidden dreams of your heart. Negative thoughts will come: “Who do you think you are?” Just smile and reply, “I am a child of the Most High God.”

August 9, 2024 at 11:56 amFather, thank You that You created me to live an abundant life, not a small life. Thank You for the challenge to ask You for big things and to see the greatness of Your power. Help me to dare to ask big and to believe for what seems impossible.

August 12, 2024 at 5:24 amSD1 & R A C H E L thanks for your posts and presenting something more than substantial to ponder… Revelation 22:16 ESV “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” God chose David and David agreed to be chosen. What about you and me? Are we faithful to His callings? Yeshua, Jesus Christ, comes through the line of David. Let’s actively agree with God and watch amazing things happen in our lives… it is through faith and patience that we inherit His promises. Basis: Hebrews 6:12. Paul the apostle says in Colosians 1:27-29 ESV “To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.” Father, let Your will be done in me this day and the days that You grant, going forward. I will trust in You. Amen.

August 12, 2024 at 9:17 pmDear Mkdwhitted, Rachel and Sd1, Listened to Pastor S.Furtick today and he reminded me that Ruth just wanted to be faithful, no matter what. She was determined to take care of her mother-in-law and was focused on getting that next meal… but God had bigger designs on her, seeing her faithfulness and loyalty… despite being an outsider.* (*Ruth was a Moabitess … a descendant of Lot and not directly in Abraham and Sarah’s line). God blessed her determination, undying covenant and love for Naomi and that eye on something beyond that stirred her heart to cling tightly… when she could have returned to her original country. Her next meal of gleaning barley as a foreigner in a strange land turned into a meeting with Boaz her kinsman redeemer and future husband. The amazing thing is that God saw this Moabitess’ faithfulness and blessed Ruth with being in the direct lineage of David and eventually, Yeshua, our LORD Jesus Christ. In her lifetime she never knew how God would use her and that even a Book would be named after her. Through her very DNA, God chose to carry her along as a foundation for the line of David and eventually the Bread of Life, Himself, Yeshua, our LORD Jesus the Messiah of the entire human race. Father, let us not despise our small beginnings in faithfulness but know that Your eye is watchful and that You are a God of grace and an intense lover of our souls. Let us please You today in our lives like Ruth, taking care of our responsibilities with love and faithfulness in honor of You. Amen.
