Praying. Life is a marathon… and you moms out there already know about birthing labor pains, contractions and the whole nine yards of it all. You have an advantage over the males out there who will never physically experience natural and God-given childbirth. Similarly… the Bible describes to us perseverance and what enduring hardship is like. It is the example of a mom enduring natural childbirth for the joy (a new life) set before her. The Bible is exceptional in imparting perseverance and being missional and devoted to God in life. A centering, if you will. Especially, in the example that Jesus’ gave us in His perfectly pleasing time on earth lived in front of all the world and before God the Father. He did everything right, loved people, told the truth, feared God, served Him and honored Him, yet, the elites of His day… the ones who should have recognized their very own Messiah missed the boat completely, and mistook Him as competition, rather than God, Himself, and instead chose to become envious and jealous, had Him illegally arrested, falsely accused then tortured and murdered Him in the most despicable, degrading, time consuming and horrifying way imaginable. Crucifixion. They displayed total rebellion and witchcraft on steroids, yet, Jesus says to the crowds, tormenters and His executioners, “Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” And God did something marvelous. He reversed the curse. For the first time in history a human being was raised up from the dead never to die, ever, ever, again. The 2nd death was defeated forever by the 2nd Adam, Christ Jesus, who persevered for us. So that all who call upon the name of the LORD are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. A lasting pathway was made for us all through His faith, patience and obedience to God. Now what sort of pathway and fruit will He make through our lives as we too are obedient and take up our cross and follow Him daily? Amen? He has called us to be like He was…walking in the grace and wisdom that His Holy Spirit gives liberally and without holding back. Hallelujah! Thank You Jesus for sending us Your Comforter. Let us cry out to Him and be filled with Your Holy Spirit, be comforted, fulfilled in God’s purposes in and through our lives. You promised us that Your yoke is easy snd Your burden is light, because You already did all the heavy lifting for us through Your life lived on earth and You vonyinually intercede gor us, now. You have made a way, let us walk in it by faith and patience to inherit Your promises. So be it. Amen.
