August 24, 2016 at 1:35 pmI am disabled and currently looking for work. But I need to be careful what type of work I get.
Basically, there is a limit to how much I can earn annually and stay in the apartment I’m in now ($16,000 a year). I get a little over $9,000 annually from disability. But of course working itself has expenses.
So where I work I need to earn at least $12,000 a year with possibility for later advancement (I have a Bachelor’s Degree). Especially if the company does not provide health coverage (though that would help as well since I lose Medicaid if I make over certain amount).
On a related note, I have an appointment September 14 in Chapel Hill and I’m praying that my white blood cell count remains in the normal range. Hopefully this will extend the number of months between visits and let me reduce the amount of antibiotics I have to take during the day.
This will help me tremendously as I start a new job.
Thanks in advance,
Matt

August 26, 2016 at 4:12 amHi Matt,
One option might be to consider medical or legal transcription. Many companies will allow you to work online from home for as many hours as you can handle. It does require some training, but it would give you some flexibility. Depending on your hand strength for typing, this might be an alternative to the traditional way of looking for a job. God bless you and I’m praying that God will open a door that will give you the job that he has for you.
